Hello, preparing an article about the World Information Summit, who will take place in December in Geneva, I need an important information about your country:
How many czech newspapers and magazines are published in the Czech Republic.I only need the number (approximatively). I tank you still now for your answer and I send you my best regards.

The National library has legal deposit of periodical and also nonperiodical publication. The Library received legal deposit of 3636 periodicals in the
year 2002 - according to the Annual Report -
http://www.nkp.cz/PublicRel/O_Narodni_knihovne/vyrocni_zpravy/2002/e_prir1.htm#per.
We have consulted this question with our Periodicals department, and according to their experiences you can "use" this number - cca 3636 titles.
